Description

The Alexandrina region plays host to a diverse range of birdlife, from migratory waders through to protected and endangered spicies. Alexandrina Bird Trail has been developed with local bird experts from Fleurieu Bird Watchers. It is a series of connected trails around the Alexandrina region showcasing some of the best bird viewing locations in the area. Click here to open the Alexandrina Bird Trail map and trail notes! Lawari Conservation Park on Hindmarsh Island is a new protected area that is in the process of being revegitated to support local bird species. Stage 1 has opened to the public with a marked walking trail for bird watches to follow.
