The Rushes is a beautifully furnished cottage offering its guests quality and luxury throughout house and gardens. Ideally located near the Murray River and historic Goolwa Wharf, it is the perfect place to enjoy everything Goolwa has to offer. Well appointed with air conditioning and heating, free wi-fi, Netflix, queen adjustable bed, deep soaking bath, quality linen and fluffy towels.

The open fireplace is a stunning centre piece and creates a warm ambience with a view from every room. The Rushes is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or just to spoil yourself.
The home can now accommodate up to 5 people as the the second room has a queen size 4 poster bed and a singe bed which is an ottoman that folds out. All linen is provided. It also has its own ensuite and has an outlook and entrance out to the internal courtyard and alfresco fireplace.
The Location
The Rushes sits beside the lower lakes of the River Murray and where this river flows through to the Coorong National Park and Great Southern Ocean.
Enjoy walks and natural wonder of the beautiful Murray Lower Lakes and Goolwa Beach with abundant bird life. Goolwa is a popular surfing and fishing spot, famous for its Pipi’s or Cockles. The Coorong National Park is where the film Storm Boy is based and is a must see. The Coorong National Park can be accessed through regular boat cruises leaving from the Goolwa wharf.
Please note: Christmas 15th Dec - 15th Jan is $550 per night plus $100 cleaning Christmas season is from 15th December to 30th Jan and has a minimum 14 day stay
Public holiday weekends have a minimum 3 night stay
For Bookings of 14 days and over the property is cleaned and sheets and towels changed over and soaps, coffee pods, tea, milk etc replenished weekly at no extra charge.

Alexandrina Visitor Services (AVS) provides a booking service through the visitalexandrina.com website and two accredited Visitor Information Centres (located in Goolwa and Strathalbyn South Australia).
When booking tours and accommodation through us there are AVS specific terms and conditions.
Guest Cancellations and Rescheduling fees:
•30 days prior to travel – receive a full refund
•14-30 days prior to travel – pay 15% of total booking
•Less than 14 days – pay 100% of total booking (no refund)
How to Cancel or Reschedule a booking:
In the case of cancellations or date changes please contact AVS as soon as possible by calling 1300 466 592 or by email visit@alexandrina.com.au
AVS will always endeavour to negotiate the best outcome for you and the operator.
Operator Cancellations:
If AVS has taken a booking and the operator is unable to supply the Product the operator must provide an alternative Product for you the guest. Alternatively you can elect for a full refund which AVS will process promptly.
Once a sale has taken place AVS accepts no responsibility for a cancellation or double booking by an operator.
