Commencing October 20th, the PS Oscar W historic paddle steamer will temporarily relocate to Hector’s Jetty, approximately 100m south of its usual berth at the Goolwa Wharf. This move is a necessary step to make way for the long-awaited restoration of the historic Goolwa Wharf. The P.S. Oscar W will return to its home at Goolwa Wharf once the restoration is complete. Stay tuned for updates as we navigate this journey.
PS Oscar W is an authentic wood fired paddle steamer based at the historic Goolwa Wharf. One of only a few of the original Murray River paddle steamers still in operation today.

From 1853 to 1914 the Riverport of Goolwa was a thriving ship building centre. Ship building for the Murray River began in Goolwa and some 60 paddlesteamers and barges were built here. Goolwa was the only place on the Murray Darling system where complete vessels were built - hulls, engines, boilers, paddle wheels - the lot.

Accommodation and Tour Bookings
Alexandrina Visitor Services (AVS) provides a booking service through the visitalexandrina.com website and two accredited Visitor Information Centres (located in Goolwa and Strathalbyn South Australia).
When booking tours and accommodation through us there are AVS specific terms and conditions.
Guest Cancellations and Rescheduling fees:
30 days prior to travel - receive a full refund
14-30 days prior to travel - pay 15% of total booking
Less than 14 days - pay 100% of total booking (no refund)
How to Cancel or Reschedule a booking:

AVS will always endeavour to negotiate the best outcome for you and the operator.
Operator Cancellations:
If AVS has taken a booking and the operator is unable to supply the Product the operator must provide an alternative Product for you the guest. Alternatively you can elect for a full refund which AVS will process promptly.
Once a sale has taken place AVS accepts no responsibility for a cancellation or double booking by an operator.
